These little lidded jars were thrown as one piece, then separated into lid and jar at the trimming stage. It's one of my very favorite pieces to make.
This jar was glazed with two different white glazes, and the overlap is incredibly subtle; the brighter white glaze causes the speckles in the clay to move a little, whereas the other doesn't.
Perfect for storing jewelry on your bedside table, for hiding away pills in the bathroom, or as a small desk tidy for loose change and maybe a couple of spare keys.
Jars also make a great gift, and you can fill them with a delicious treat - a couple of beautiful locally made truffles, for example.
A little over 1.5" tall, with a diameter of approx. 3.25" at the widest point.
Please note that all goods are made by hand and as a result may display slight irregularities or imperfections. Where relevant, I have tried to include photos of these imperfections. These marks celebrate the hand of the maker. If you prefer a guaranteed "perfect" product, there are plenty of high street solutions out there!
